The ministry of Place of Refuge church was founded  in October of 2019. Our Ministry started off small but has since grown in faith and in numbers. We have been forever grateful for each and every person who has decided to take part in the growth of our ministry. The ministry of Place Of refuge church was founded during unprecedented times. In the Spring of 2020 began the start of a global pandemic that forced several churches to shut their doors , including ours. With a ministry as small and as fresh as ours it was easy to become discouraged and lose hope but with the strength given unto  us by the Lord we persevered! Here we four years after opening and we continue to share the Lord's gospel. Whether it be through Our Sunday Services to Our Bible Studies and social events we have a goal and our mission is to complete it. 

 

Our current location is a testimony of how far we have come so far and how far we plan to go. Although we don not plan on staying here forever we are grateful to the Lord and to our congregation for helping us make it happen.  Our ministry is not for the "perfect" Christian or even for the "perfect" person. Perfection is a concept that is impossible to achieve. We are a place for those who have been hurt and those who have been broken. Each individual in our Ministry is a vessel that has been beaten, bruised, and abused by the world and is seeking refuge in the Lord. 

The Lord has been so good to us and all we want to do is help grow his kingdom. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus says :

 

" [19.] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20.] and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

 

So Just as he instructed his disciples, we have elected to follow in his word and make disciples of his people.
